Earlier this month, Lamar Jackson was announced as the No. 69 ranked player on the annual NFL Top 100 list — as voted on by the league’s active players.
This position represents a dramatic drop of 67 spots compared to Jackson’s ranking on last year’s list.
Jackson experienced a down year in 2025, missing four games due to injury. However, this No. 69 ranking for the two-time league MVP sparked some serious controversy around the NFL world.
Jackson was asked about his controversial ranking when speaking to reporters at training camp on Wednesday.
“It is what it is,” Jackson said, via ProFootballTalk. “You know, I play football. I don’t care about rankings.”
Jackson completed 63.6% of his pass attempts for 2,549 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2025. The all-time great rushing quarterback also ran for a career-low 349 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Despite entering the 2025 season with Super Bowl aspirations, the Ravens missed the playoffs after mounting an 8-9 regular-season record. In Jackson’s 13 game appearances, Baltimore went 6-7.
Jackson and the Ravens will open up their 2026 regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 13.
