During the event, the sunny and windy Nha Trang sky became more vibrant than ever with the colors of dozens of giant kites. With sizes ranging from 5m to 30m, the artisans brought to the festival many kite designs vividly depicting marine creatures such as whales, sharks, squid, or traditional figures like dragons, creating a lively and visually stunning atmosphere.
Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Director of HT Melody – the event organizer – said that the festival brought together two kite teams from the Buon Ma Thuot Kite Club ( Dak Lak province) and the Nha Trang Kite Club. Approximately 70 kites were showcased by artisans in rotation throughout the three days of the festival.
According to the organizers, this event not only creates a healthy recreational space and connects the community of kite art enthusiasts, but also serves as an effective opportunity to promote the image, cultural beauty, and tourism of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to domestic and international friends.
The event quickly became a focal point, attracting a large number of visitors. Amidst the lively atmosphere, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Loan, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "Coming to Nha Trang during this year's Sea Festival, I feel the atmosphere is incredibly vibrant with many unique cultural activities."
Especially at Youth Park, I had the opportunity to witness giant kites of all shapes and sizes soaring high in the sky. It was a very enjoyable experience.
Not only is the festival attractive to domestic tourists, but it also draws a large number of international visitors staying in the coastal city. Anna Ivanovna, a tourist from Russia, excitedly expressed: "The weather in Nha Trang right now is wonderful, full of sunshine and wind."
Besides swimming in the sea, watching the giant kites soaring in the sky is a very relaxing and impressive experience. Nha Trang is truly a wonderful destination."
